How to Use ChatGPT Dots to create Google Ads campaigns

By novembre 2, 2026No Comments4 min read

You can now build a complete Google Ads campaign without opening Google Ads: ask a ChatGPT Dot, by chat or by voice call, and it creates the campaign for you through the Markifact connector.

What are ChatGPT Dots?

ChatGPT Dots are OpenAI’s always-on autonomous AI agents. Each Dot runs on its own cloud computer and browser, connects to more than 4,000 apps, and keeps working 24/7 toward the goals you set. If you know Grok Bots, Dots are OpenAI’s answer.

For marketers, that changes the job. Instead of clicking through ad platforms, you describe the campaign you want and review what the agent built. You can give your Dot a name (ours is called Tommy) and talk to it in the ChatGPT app, in the browser, or from Slack.

What you need before you start

  • A ChatGPT Pro plan. Dots are not included in the free or Plus plans; at the time of recording, Pro cost about €100 per month.
  • Availability in your region. Dots are rolling out in eligible markets first, so check whether they are live in your country. In our test from Belgium, they were not yet available in Europe so we had to use a VPN.
  • A Google Ads account you have access to
  • The Markifact plugin, which lets your Dot work inside Google Ads, Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn Ads.

Step by step: create a Google Ads campaign with a ChatGPT Dot

  1. Create your Dot. In ChatGPT, open Dots, create a new one and give it a name.
  2. Install Markifact. Go to Plugins, search for Markifact (it is an official connector) and click Install. You are redirected to Markifact, where you click Connect to the MCP.
  3. Brief your Dot. Type your request or start a voice call. Our brief was: create a Google Ads campaign for clicktrust.be, send traffic to the GEO training page, set a budget of €5 per day, and use Markifact to build it in the ClickTrust All account.
  4. Answer its follow-up questions. The Dot asked which language and country to target. We chose English and Belgium, and let it write the ad copy and pick keywords from the landing page.
  5. Approve the plan. Before making changes, the Dot summarised exactly what it would create: a paused Search campaign, one English ad group, ads, keywords and a €5 average daily budget. It only acts after you confirm.

The Dot also worked with context. It spotted an existing live campaign on the same landing page, left it untouched, and chose Maximize Clicks bidding to match our other training campaigns. It also flagged that it would check the conversion setup before any launch.

Check the campaign in Google Ads

The campaign appeared in Google Ads within minutes, paused and set to €5 per day. Because it is paused, filter your campaign view to show all campaigns, not only enabled ones, or you will not see it.

What the Dot built:

  • Keywords such as “GEO course”, “GEO training” and “generative engine optimization course”, all relevant to the offer.
  • Ads pointing to the correct GEO training page, with copy built around GEO and GAIO courses.
  • Settings matching the brief: English, Belgium, one ad group, Maximize Clicks.

Always review keywords, copy and conversion tracking yourself before you enable a campaign the agent created.

Manage your campaigns from Slack

Your Dot is not tied to the ChatGPT app. Add the Slack plugin in ChatGPT, click Connect, and you can message your Dot directly in Slack.

We sent Tommy one line in Slack: change the budget of the campaign you just created to €10 a day and keep it paused. After refreshing Google Ads, the budget was €10 per day and the campaign was still paused. Quick budget changes, pauses and edits can now happen in the same place your team already talks.

Beyond Google Ads: Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn

The same workflow works on other ad platforms. Through Markifact, your Dot can create campaigns, adjust budgets and write ads on Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn as well as Google Ads.

A few habits keep AI-built campaigns safe and effective:

  • Always create campaigns paused and launch them yourself after review.
  • Give a precise brief: URL, landing page, budget, country, language and account name.
  • Check conversion tracking before you spend, so bidding has the right signals.
  • Let the Dot ask questions. Its follow-ups catch gaps in your brief, like a missing target country.
